Our full-time activities team creates a robust calendar filled with art programs like ceramics fired in our very own kiln, concerts, theme parties, wheelchair accessible fishing trips, and scenic bike rides on our beautiful campus with specialized bikes that even accommodate wheelchairs! Residents have a say in shaping our programs through their own Resident Council, so every event is rooted in their authentic preferences — from sing-alongs to off-site outings like the Joslyn Art Museum.

We give families a window into their loved ones’ world at RBJH through a portal on the LifeLoop platform. With LifeLoop families can exchange messages, share photos, view daily menus, get progress updates and stay in contact with staff, no matter where they are.

The Rose Blumkin Jewish Home is proud to be the only skilled nursing home in Nebraska awarded the Opening Minds through Art (OMA) grant. This Scripps intergenerational program supports people with dementia through creative expression to foster social connection, autonomy, dignity and joy.
Thanks to our location on the Jewish Federation of Omaha’s beautiful campus, residents can enjoy direct access to the JCC’s fitness center, indoor pools, theater performances, lectures and art exhibits, all just steps away — all year round!
